Our client is presently involved in several major transportation Design – Build projects in B.C. and are looking to expand their team. We’re searching for a Senior Highway Design Engineer with expertise in Planning, Design and construction. The chosen candidate will be part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary design and construction management team that delivers cost effective, practical engineering design and construction solutions. This position is an excellent career growth opportunity that will provide advancement within the company and a high level of job satisfaction. This position will carry out and/or manage the planning and design of major highway projects and will handle Client and stakeholder liaison. The chosen applicant will Coordinate electrical, landscaping, traffic, geotechnical inputs. Prepare special provisions, construction specifications, and contract documents. Participate in the tendering and bid evaluation process and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

Applicants must be a Professional Engineer and have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in design/build and major highway projects in B.C. Working knowledge of CAiCE and / or LDD road design software. Superior written and oral communication skills.
